There are various types of digital x-rays. They can be taken outside of the mouth (extraoral) and inside the mouth (intraoral). Intraoral x-rays are the type that is most regularly used. The two different types of intraoral x-rays are bite-wing x-rays and periapical x-rays. Bite-wings require the patient to bite down on a sensor so that an image of a specific part of the mouth can be taken. It’s often used to detect tooth decay, inspect the condition of bone around teeth, and assess the integrity of restorations. Periapical x-rays reveal the inside of the entire tooth and the bone that surrounds it.
A type of extraoral x-ray is a panoramic x-ray. A machine rotates around your child’s head, capturing all of their teeth in the upper and lower arch.

Why we use CO2 Dental Laser?
The CO2 laser has been used for intraoral procedures since the 1960s and millions of CO2 laser procedures have been performed with Luxar-LightScalpel flexible fibers since 1991 to date. A great deal of peer-reviewed literature advocates the use of CO2 dental lasers in soft tissue dentistry due to their most important attribute: the WAVELENGTH.
A simple review of soft tissue absorption properties for all soft-tissue dental lasers (810 nm, 904 nm, 960 nm, 980 nm, 1064 nm, 9.3 micrometers, and 10.6 micrometers) reveals that the 10.6 micrometers wavelength of the CO2 laser is the most appropriate for intraoral soft tissue surgical applications.

Computer-Assisted Anesthesia for Relaxing appointments
For our wonderful patients, we take a different approach to freezing. First, we place a topical anesthetic on their gums to desensitize them. Next, we use The Wand, a computer-driven system, to administer the anesthetic slowly and controlled.
