That’s why we are proud to offer the support of a dental doula at Ari Pediatric Dentistry in London, Ontario—a compassionate guide dedicated to helping your child feel comfortable, informed, and empowered throughout their dental care journey.

A dental doula provides emotional support, education, and advocacy for patients who experience dental anxiety, sensory sensitivities, or simply want a more personalized approach to their oral health.

Christal Malone

As a certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Timucin Ari is passionate about providing the highest level of care possible to infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special needs. It brings him great joy to make a positive first impression with kids and help keep them calm during their appointment. He’s friendly, approachable, and explains treatments very thoroughly to parents, so they too feel good about the

With over 13 years of experience, Christal is a full-spectrum doula specializing in 2SLGBTQIA+-friendly, non-judgmental reproductive care, with a particular focus on chestfeeding support. They have extensive experience supporting all feeding journeys, including induced lactation and feeding with supplementation.

Christal provides specialized support for families navigating chestfeeding challenges related to tethered oral tissues (tongue and lip ties). Their holistic approach ensures parents receive the education, resources, and hands-on guidance needed to optimize feeding success before and after release procedures.

In addition to their work in lactation and infant feeding, Christal is an instructor in the Fanshawe Doula Studies program and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) at Wilfrid Laurier University. Committed to lifelong learning and inclusive care, they support families in the London, Stratford, and St. Thomas areas. We are happy to have Christal on our team helping our patients at Ari Pediatric Dentistry.

Keri Patterson

Since 2018, Keri has been providing prenatal, birth, and postpartum doula support to London ON families. She believes that everyone has the right to receive timely, affirming care during their unique reproductive journeys.

She’s passionate about providing hands-on, educational support to new parents navigating infant feeding challenges, and is thrilled to be part of the community care team at the clinic.

Keri is providing support for our families before and after frenectomies at Ari Pediatric Dentistry.

  Our 5 year old had to get general anesthesia to get her dental surgery done.. as someone with severe dental anxiety i was an absolute nervous wreck and had a very hard time dealing with this. The team is so understanding of not only the children but of the anxious parents! They went out of their way to make sure I was doing okay, to answer all my questions patiently.. they made us feel like we were their only patient when they were performing this exact surgery every half hour. The team is amazing and they even remember your little one’s favourite toys.. the doctors are so skilled and experienced, it makes the whole process so stress free. The doctor even called us after hours to check in to see if everything is okay. If you are looking for a dentist for your child and are anxious about trusting your child to someone you don’t know, from an anxious parent, I thousand percent recommend this team.

  We came from out of town to see Dr. Ari as he was highly recommended to us and we wanted a second opinion. When I initially called the office, they got us in so quickly and made it work with our schedule. We were concerned about multiple cavities to my 22 month old’s teeth and need for a possible root canal. Dr Ari looked at my 22 month old’s teeth and let us know the cause of our baby’s upper front teeth cavities were a lip tie making it difficult to properly brush (we had no idea as no one else ever mentioned this) and told us a root canal was not necessary for the molars. He went over the treatment plan and I felt such a sense of relief with the sedation plan and their office was able to book us again in within a reasonable time to take care of things. When I asked a question about my other son’s teeth who was with us, he squeezed him in right then and there to look at his teeth.They were so incredibly thorough. It was totally worth the drive going there, we were so pleased.

Everyone there made me feel much more comfortable and they took such good care of my girl. Best experience yet that I have had and so happy with the way everything went.   The best pediatric dental clinic around! The staff here are the kindest souls around with huge hearts.  You can tell they all love what they do, and genuinely care about their patients. My youngest son was traumatized from a dental experience in the past, but today our hygienist managed to make him comfortable and urn his trust. We left with ZERO tears, and a smile on his face.  I can't thank every single staff member enough! Thank you soo much Nicole for the phenomenal experience today.
